Roof & site survey
Before we quote a single panel, we confirm the roof can carry the load, the shading works, and the grid will accept the export.
A commercial solar quote is only as good as the survey behind it. Before we put kWp numbers on paper, our MCS-certified engineers carry out a full structural, shading, and grid-capacity assessment of your site so the design matches what the building and the network can actually support.
The roof side covers structural loading, deck condition, age and remaining life, fixings, fall-arrest, and fire compartmentation. We model shading from plant, parapets, neighbouring buildings, and seasonal sun angles so the inverter and optimiser layout squeezes the most out of every panel through the year.
The grid side is just as important. We check your existing kVA agreed supply capacity, half-hourly load profile, and the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) headroom available for export. Where the connection is constrained, we look at export limitation, battery storage to time-shift generation, or a G99 application to lift the cap.
You get a clear, written report with the system size we believe the site can host, the assumptions behind it, and any pre-works needed before installation. It is the document the rest of the project is built on.
