Terms & Conditions
The terms governing the use of our solar, storage, and EV charging services.
Last updated: January 2025
1. Definitions
“Suncharge”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to Suncharge Limited. “Client”, “you”, or “your” refers to the business engaging our services. “DNO” refers to the licensed Distribution Network Operator for the project site. “System” refers to any solar PV, battery storage, or EV-charging installation supplied by us.
2. Our services
We design, supply, install, commission, and maintain commercial solar PV, lithium-ion battery storage, and EV-charging systems on UK business sites. All installations are carried out to MCS standards using Tier 1 panels and certified inverters.
3. Site survey and proposal
Following an enquiry, we carry out a free, no-obligation site survey covering structural, shading, and grid-capacity assessment. The resulting feasibility report and quotation are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Acceptance of the quotation forms a binding contract for the works specified.
4. Pricing, payment and finance
Our pricing is fixed at quotation unless materials change at point of order. Standard payment terms are a deposit on order, an interim payment on commencement, and a final payment on commissioning and handover. We also offer leasing and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) routes where the kWh tariff and term are set out in a separate finance agreement.
5. Our obligations
We will design and install the System using reasonable care and skill, comply with MCS standards and the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), submit the required DNO G99/G100 application, and provide the full handover pack including MCS certificate and SEG-ready evidence.
6. Your obligations
You agree to provide safe site access, accurate roof and electrical information, and to obtain any necessary internal approvals (lease consent, planning where required, insurance notifications). You are responsible for the structural condition of the existing roof unless we have explicitly contracted to remediate it.
7. Warranties
Panels carry a 25-year manufacturer performance warranty. Inverters carry a 10–12 year warranty (extendable to 25). Lithium-ion batteries carry a 10-year warranty subject to the cycle limits set out in the manufacturer datasheet. We provide a 5-year workmanship warranty on installation and our O&M agreement runs alongside.
8. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for grid outages, supplier price changes, force-majeure events, or losses arising from operating the System outside of its design parameters. Our total liability is limited to the contract value of the relevant project.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel within 14 days of contract acceptance unless materials have already been ordered or works commenced. After this period, cancellation is subject to recovery of materials and labour costs incurred.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
