Code of Practice
Our commitment to safe, transparent, and accountable commercial solar installation.
Suncharge Limited is an MCS-certified UK commercial solar installer. This Code of Practice sets out the standards you can expect when we design, install, and maintain a solar PV, battery storage, or EV charging system on your premises.
1. Transparency
Every quotation we issue is itemised: panels, inverters, mounting, cabling, scaffolding, DNO fees, MCS sign-off, commissioning, and ongoing O&M. There are no hidden extras and no surprise change-orders once works are agreed.
2. Engineering integrity
We design every system to MCS standards using Bloomberg Tier 1 panels and certified inverters. We do not specify cheaper components to win price-only tenders, and we do not oversize systems beyond what your roof, load profile, and grid connection can sensibly support.
3. Accuracy
Generation forecasts, payback periods, and SEG income figures are produced using PVsyst-grade modelling and the latest published tariffs. We clearly distinguish between modelled and guaranteed numbers and explain every assumption.
4. No pressure selling
We will never pressure you into a decision. We present options, give our professional recommendation, and allow you the time you need to make an informed choice with your finance team.
5. Health, safety and compliance
All works are carried out in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, BS 7671, MCS-005 (PV) and MCS-024 (battery), and DNO connection conditions G99/G100. RAMS are issued for every site and our installers carry valid CSCS, IPAF, and PASMA cards as appropriate.
6. Data protection
We treat all client and site data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. Half-hourly load data, roof photos, and bills are used solely to design your system and submit grid and SEG applications.
7. Complaint handling
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service we want to know. Concerns are acknowledged within two business days and resolved within 20 business days. Full details are on our Complaints page; unresolved disputes can be escalated to MCS or RECC as appropriate.
8. Ongoing service
Our relationship does not end at handover. Every system is monitored 24/7 with automated fault alerts, supported by an annual O&M visit and lifetime workmanship warranty for the full asset life.
9. Regulatory compliance
We comply with all applicable UK legislation, the MCS Installer Code, RECC consumer code, and Ofgem SEG rules. We maintain Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, and Product insurance and review our processes regularly to ensure continued compliance.
